Eulogy for Mom

The passing of your mother is a difficult experience. There is confusion even if her death was expected and then the planning of the funeral. It is customary for children to give eulogies in honor of their parents. Though this may be a difficult task, you will want to be involved in the funeral some way of another as this will allow for some closure knowing that you helped make it as special as possible. It is some times thought of as the one last gift you could give them.

Your mother was a special person to you and it may be difficult to express just how much she meant to you in just a few short minutes. One way to let everyone who your mother truly was is by describing her special personality traits that made her who she was. Telling of all the sacrifices that she made for you and how she allows tried to make you happy no matter what the occasion was.

You may want to include a moment when she made a specific impression on your life or any advice that she gave you that helped get through a difficult problem. Describe not only the times of when she was your mother, but she was most likely one of your best friends as well. Here is a small sample of how you can start your eulogy for your mother:

My mother was one of the most amazing people
I have ever met and will probably ever meet.
She spent her life caring for others,

She would often go out of her way to reach those who were in need.
She was also often a counselor when the times called for it.
I knew I could come to her no matter what the reason or circumstance.
I loved her with all my heart and will truly miss her.
