Funeral Thank You Card Wording

Words for funeral thank you notes may not come as easily as you would like especially during a difficult time of loss. Funeral thank you card wording can consist of a few sentences to a paragraph if you’d like. Sending them to those who have shown you special support, encouragement or assistance is a nice gesture of appreciation.

You can keep the wording simple and personable to the person and what they did to help you. If you do not want to write all the thank you cards by hand then consider using thank you card templates. You can then type in a generic message of thanks and then sign your name for a more personal touch. Or you can just type out individual and personal messages to each recipient.

An example of a what to write inside a card might be:

Dear John,

Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers during our time of loss. It is comforting to know friends like yourself are near and caring. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Kindest Regards,

Betty Smith & Family

This type of note is more generic and can go to anyone who provided or helped in any way. The wording is just so that it does not indicate a specific task that they did. This style would be a good candidate to send to multiple friends or recipients. You can adjust the wording to be more personal if you prefer. Otherwise, the few sentences is just enough to express your gratitude.
