Funny Eulogy Example

Candace was a light-hearted, fun person. She loved to tell jokes, laugh and pull pranks. No matter how old she got, it seemed like she never outgrew that pranking stage of her youth.

I remember when we were kids, she was always doing something funny around the house. There was the time that she put plastic wrap underneath the toilet seat and then waited outside the bathroom door so she could laugh when her father went to the bathroom only to find out he was basically peeing on the floor. Then there were the classic ketchup packet under the toilet seat occurrences. I think we were all checking under the toilet seat for six months to make sure that there were no ketchup packets.

As she got older and moved out, she had children and started a family. Her children got to laugh at each other over the same pranks with a few added tricks. There was Vaseline on door knobs and too many hilarious Halloween pranks to list.

Candace never wanted to do anything too mean, though. She constantly joked about putting Nair in my shampoo bottle, but I never lost any of my hair. She would never hurt or embarrass anyone, she just loved to have fun and make people laugh.

To this day, I will never look at plastic wrap or ketchup packets without remembering Candace and her funny little pranks. I’m sure you all have your own hilarious memories of Candace, or maybe it was just a funny joke that she told you. Either way, I’m glad Candace was like that.

I have yet to meet another person that can make me laugh as much as she did, and while I am sad that she is gone, I will never think about my dear sister without it bringing a smile to my face. Thank you all for coming, and I would love to hear some of your funny memories when we all go out to eat.

God bless you. For those of you who will not be joining us for dinner, I wish you the best and thank you for coming today to show your support and respect.
